Revolut has entered the era of conversational AI for personal finance with the launch of AIR, short for AI by Revolut, an assistant integrated directly into the app. The rollout begins in the United Kingdom, marking what the company describes as “a new era of money intelligence.”
AIR is designed to go beyond a traditional chatbot and act as a daily financial copilot. Users can ask questions about spending history, track investments in real time, manage subscriptions, and even freeze or unfreeze cards directly within the chat interface.
The goal is to turn money management into a natural conversation, while retaining the full operational capabilities of a banking app. In this model, the conversational interface becomes the primary entry point to financial services.
The launch comes as Revolut continues strong growth, reporting record revenue and profits while expanding its global user base to tens of millions of customers. AIR represents a strategic step toward making AI the core layer of the banking experience.
The rollout will begin in the UK before expanding globally. The key challenge for Revolut will be turning AIR into something users rely on daily, not just another feature, but the main way they interact with their finances.
If adoption follows expectations, the future of banking may shift from navigating apps to simply having a conversation with your money.
